"DAY ONE"
The Journalist Lucy Toothpaste asked.
‘Asked are you liberated?’
‘Are you referring to Oh Bondage Up Yours!?" I asked.
Lucy replied ‘Well yes, is it about women’s liberation?.‘Yes and No’ I replied.
‘ I saw some bondage trousers in ‘SEX’ Vivienne Westwoods store, the one that’s in Worlds End.
Which sparked the bondage theme, I thought ‘Oh Bondage Up Yours!’ and a Punk Rock Anthem was born.
I read a book by Wilhelm Reich and discovered a new found sense of freedom.
Images of The Suffragettes chained to the railings of Buckingham Palace shot across my photographic memory.
A faded dream of Bowie’s ‘Suffragette City’ Wham Bham Thank You Ma’am ringing in my ears.
Pictures of ball and chained African slaves were stored in my psyche, in sepia of course.
I replayed the biblical epic ‘Moses’ on the screen
in my head, the story of the bondage of the Israelites, in Egypt.
I had an innate desire to be free. To be free from unwanted desires, seemed desirable’.

Got up, jogged to the local swimming baths took a dip, and then jogged back.
Stuart said. ‘Poly Styrene’ ‘Is it in the Yellow Pages’? I asked.
